Lead capital refit and repaint projects end to end — survey to sea trials — as the single accountable point of contact for owner and yard. Fixed-price commercial discipline and weekly written reporting are core to the role.
Hold engineering custody across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and control systems. Plan continuous surveys, run condition monitoring and keep each vessel to its original-build standard.
Run the owner's office afloat: crew and payroll, flag-state and class administration, budgets and monthly accounts. One management contact, a clear audit trail, owners holding outcomes — not operations.
Supervise large-area topside repaint to Awlgrip and Alexseal systems under covered-shed conditions. Manage surface preparation, fairing and quality control on aged-steel and aluminium hulls.
Specify and integrate battery and power-conversion systems for hybrid and full-electric yachts. Size capacity to cruise profile and hold installations to class and original-yard electrical standards.
